8 Acts • 90+ Artists • 2 Sold-Out Shows || In April 2023, a group of nearly 100 artists in Houston, Texas took us somewhere we don’t often get to go in a room of several hundred strangers: into stunning, sobbing, beautiful hope. The project, titled “Not Another Conspiracy,” was the culmination of a larger body of work - “The Art of Rebuilding” - that creator Kallie Foltz Bahorich began in 2021. Weaving together stories of de/re-construction found throughout history, nature, ancient mysticism and the arts, “NAC” was a creative explosion featuring every art form you can imagine packed into a one-hour, 8-act original show. It played two sold-out shows in the iconic X-Atrium of the historic POSTHTX. The resounding response from the city was that NAC was a soul-balm after years of chaos and grief. It was “timely, cathartic, powerful, resuscitating.” Serving as a collective battle cry against our modern doomsday narratives, the invitation to consider how our present apocalypse might be, somehow, unto a “greater later” has lived on to in those who experienced NAC live.
